Designed in a real Head Start classroom — not adapted from somewhere else.
ParentComm is being shaped with Head Start educators in Detroit, where in one program's classrooms 132 of 149 children hear a language other than English at home. For those families, a translated text isn't enough — many parents are more comfortable listening than reading, in any language.
So ParentComm starts where families actually are: voice notes, short videos, and picture-based updates, delivered in the family's preferred language — while teachers keep working in theirs. And because Head Start runs on a team model, the family advocate and health staff see the same conversation, not a forwarded screenshot.
